Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data WascoFlex collects from visitors to this website, how that data is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to everyone who visits or uses this site.

WascoFlex is based in the United Kingdom, and this Privacy Policy is issued under, and interpreted in accordance with, UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name and email address when you use our contact form — and technical information collected automatically as you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit.

Where you have given your consent, we also collect analytics information about how you use the site through Google Analytics 4, described in more detail below and in our Cookie Policy.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect to respond to your enquiries, operate and maintain the site, keep it secure, and understand how it is used so we can improve it.

Where you have consented to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall visitor trends — such as which articles are popular and how people navigate the site. We do not use this data to identify you individually.

Legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR, depending on the activity:

Responding to an enquiry you send us: legitimate interest in providing you with a reply, and, where a contract may result, taking steps at your request before entering into one.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4): consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via our cookie controls.

Keeping the site secure and functioning correctly (e.g. technical logs held by our hosting provider): legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.

Third parties and processors

We share personal data with a small number of trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

Hostinger — our website hosting provider, which stores and serves the site and may retain standard technical/server logs as part of that service.

Google Analytics 4 — our analytics provider, used only where you have given consent, to help us understand how the site is used.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

International data transfers

Some of the service providers we use, including Hostinger and Google Analytics, may process data on servers located outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, those providers are required to maintain safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent recognised transfer mechanism — so that your data continues to receive a level of protection consistent with UK data protection law.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected. Enquiry and contact form data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and to handle any related follow-up, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Technical and analytics data is retained in line with the standard retention practices of the provider concerned (Hostinger for hosting logs, Google Analytics for analytics data), and is not kept for longer than necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data deleted in certain circumstances; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@wascoflex.com. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, and if we become aware that we have done so, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
